This ceramic heating element can be installed in place of the original water matrix in a car conversion.

It has a negative temperature coefficient and can draw up to 1500W at pack voltage and at full fan air flow. Lower the fan air flow setting and the heating element will reduce the power it draws from the battery pack.

You can fit more than one of these if you need for than 1500W heating power. Just connect them in parallel as required.

Three versions are available for different DC operating voltages:

Version 1: 36V to 108V

Version 2: 120V to 168V

Version 3. 208V to 280V  

Use with an 80A contactor with a coil to suit your ancillary systems; usually 12V .
