AVT offers this basic kit to convert the classic Citroen 2CV to electric drive. Performance will be in keeping with the age of the vehicle but you can expect to achieve speeds of around 50 mph, more if you choose the higher power motor and controller upgrade options. The standard kit and all options include regenerative braking. This kit is also suitable for the conversion of many 2CV based cars including buggies and kit cars.

We offer the kit with various options and you can choose to buy the batteries with the kit or separately. We suggest you choose between lead acid batteries for a range of around 20 and 40 miles, and lithium for around 50 to 80 miles, both depending on driving conditions. You can upgrade from lead to lithium later if you choose.Storage of the batteries, and the parts required to install them, is flexible so you can choose which type and size of batteries you wish to fit. We offer a choice of suitable batteries or you can source your own.

Option 1, is a fixed drive coupling for driving in one gear only and Option 2, is a lightweight flywheel for easy gear-changing with the clutch.

The motor and controller offered with the kit will operate with battery packs from 72V to 96V for speeds of up to around 50 mph and 60 mph respectively.
